At last the movie on big banner ‘Aascar’ with title ‘Ananda Thandavam’ released today. Let us peep into its details.

Story:
Madhumita (Tamanna) is the innocent girl who simply lives with her teenage feelings and desires without putting any filter between her thought and act. She is almost a 20 year old kid. Raghupathi (Rishabh), the son of a middle class father falls in love with her. She too likes him and the bond turns out to be love for Raghupathy. Madhumitha’s parents agree for their marriage as well. But Madhumitha doesn’t carry any seriousness in that bond due to her easy nature. As Raghupathy goes out of station on job and returns by the time of distributing wedding cards, another man Radha Krishna enters Madhumita’s life. Her parents also change the plate and fix marriage for Madhumitha and Radha Krishna. That hits Raghu as a shock. He jumps from a mountain to commit suicide. Has he died? And what happens next has to be watched on screen.

Performances:
Tamanna acted as an easy going teenager with kid-like behavior. She looked awesome in some frames, especially in saris. She proved well with respect to performance too. New guy Rishabh is yet to attain perfection but on a whole he is ok in submissive role. Rukmini is not that great photogenically but ok with respect to dances and performance. Others are ok.

Technically the film suffered huge jolts from editor. The scene cut is very disturbing and also disturbed the tempo especially in first half. Story is ok but the way it’s handled is not that good. The narration seemed elastic due to lack of crispness. Dialogues are average. Cinematography and Choreography deserve good marks. Music is below average in first listening. There is not even a single haunting tune.

Direction is boring in first half but picked up little momentum in the second.

Analysis:
This is the story of an innocent and easy going girl who suffers with her attitude. The reasons for her failure in life are attributed to her upbringing. It also shows the story of a young man who goes very serious about love without looking into ins and outs. The film indirectly sends a message to youth not to simply carry away by infatuation in the name of love and ignore parents and others those spell true love.

First half of the film is very slow while second half is ok to some extent. The climax is not that predictable but a sign was conveyed in the beginning of second half.

On a whole the movie stands for class audiences and masses cannot relish this at all. The fate of this film is purely dependant on class audiences those can bear more pathos and drama for 2 hr 30 minutes. Indeed, the minus aspect in this movie is that audiences appeared looking at their watches both in first and second halves.
